About the Role

As a Linux Administrator at Siemens, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining Linux-based systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security. Your expertise will be vital in supporting the company’s IT infrastructure, contributing to the success of various projects across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Linux system installation and troubleshooting.
• Managing Linux systems.
• Strong infrastructure background with a track record of global execution.
• Creation, administration, and population of GIT repositories.
• Manage GIT access control.
• Backup and restore.
• Policy enforcements using triggers.
• Experience in Managing stakeholder communication and progress reporting.
• Experience in tracking project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected and documented.
• Must have flexibility to work globally.
• Trouble shooting of Spectrum Power 7 System.
• Experience in Spectrum Power 7 project ,experience in conducting FAT, SAT at customer site.

Skills

• You should have hands on experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administration (version 7 or higher).
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals. A background in network administration or engineering would be very useful.
• Experience with repository tools such as GitHub will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Virtualization technologies like VMware and KVM.
• Use your skills to move the world forward. Experience with frequent, scripting and deployment methodologies.
• Linux Administration and troubleshooting.
• GIT administration and Support experience will be an added advantage.
• Technical documentation.
• Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
• Infrastructure skills.
