Network Engineer

This position is for NOC operation of TXN domain, where team member needs to provide support in service assurance.
Table of Contents
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Minimum 4 to 10 years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years must have been spent working in Transmission Assurance (Monitoring, Correlation & Basic troubleshooting).
- Good understanding of ITIL incident, problem, change and service introduction principles and practices.
- Support Vendor and product selection tasks for Transmission technologies, including requirements definition.
- Network Transmission Capacity Management and Optimization.
- Support Vendor and product selection tasks for Transmission technologies, including requirements definition.
- To be able to work as part of a team and be intuitive to the business and customer needs.
- To handle emergencies and on-call support (24X7). Solution Management for Customized Business Object – Templates / Reports.
- Expertise in database/spreadsheet applications and able to manipulate data and reports to support ongoing analysis and present conclusions.
- Good knowledge & understanding of Support Processes. Should be customer oriented. Should work well under time constraints.
- Good oral & written communication skills. Should actively contribute to improvements and changes.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum 4to 10years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years must have been spent working on Ericsson Txn domain.
- Qualification: B.Tech
- Exp in: OLT & DSLAM (Devices)
- Transmission: PTN, CTR, RTC, ATR, AGR (Devices)
- Vendors: Huawei, Nokia & Cisco

Have around4.5 years of experience as PRODUCTION SUPPORT ANALYST with technical knowledge in UNIX COMMANDS, ORACLE SQL AND LINUX. Worked inL1 and L2 level teams and have given24/7 production support. Sound knowledge in analytical, Problem Solving and Leadership Skills. Qualified in handling UNIX commands like, grep, egrep, sed, awk, find, cut, copy, head, tail, touch, mv, cp, cmp, diff, vi-editor etc. Monitoring Jobs in Tidal and Autosys tool to check whether the expected jobs are completed successfully. And have used ITRS Geneos tool to check health of Application and Server on regular basis whether any warning messages are received. Have attended issues and have investigated the former to give solution at the expected time to make the SLA are met.
