Responsibilities

  • Installing, managing, and maintaining virtual systems on VMware ESXi hosts, along with vCSA/vCenter management.
  • Proficiency in designing and deploying new services within data centers.
  • Expertise in ESXi installation, configuration, and upkeep. Experience with Windows server installation and configuration hardening.
  • Competent in managing compliance for Windows, virtual, and Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with MSA-DAS, disk enclosure storage, and SAN switches.
  • Installation and configuration of RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems
  • Managing and maintaining hardware, conducting regular server and storage check-ups.
  • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting of ESX servers
  • Responsible for patching and upgrades including firmware
  • Basic understanding and hands-on on underlying storage hardware
  • Adept at using ESXi CLI and basic commands
  • Manage Vcenter โ€“ patching, performance upgrades etc.
  • Ability to manage switches and related configuration.
  • Hands on experience on Vcenter related configuration โ€“ able to manage/create/setup/configure clusters and related configuration
  • Expert at troubleshooting issues in migration, ESXi slowness, HBA issues etc.
  • Able to use VROPS a plus
  • Basic vendor management โ€“ support model (Dell, HP)
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure understanding a plus
  • Understanding of snapshots and related Rubrik integration
  • Capacity management
  • Able to communicate complex topics to stakeholders
  • Able to use ITIL process and ticketing tools (Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • L2 experience in Windows and Vmware administration.
  • Any AWS certification would be an added plus
  • Dell hyperconverged infrastructure knowledge is a plus.

  • Good ITIL knowledge
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent business process and change management skills with ability to develop strategy, evaluate efficacy, influence stakeholders, drive implementation and measure success.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple tasks with competing priorities.
