Job Role: Linux Administrator
As a Linux Administrator at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and troubleshooting Linux-based systems. Your role will involve ensuring system performance, security, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Develop and enforce Linux standards, best practices, and security protocols
- Perform system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Manage system backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures
- Implement and manage system replication, clustering, and high availability solutions
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize system performance and design
- Develop and maintain system documentation and monitoring scripts
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including kernel errors and performance bottlenecks
- Strong knowledge of Linux internals, file systems, and networking
- Experience with Linux distribution installation, configuration, and management
- Proficiency in Bash scripting, sed, awk, and regex
- Strong understanding of system security, compliance, and access control
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with system monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace, Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience and knowledge: 7 years in Linux administration
- Must have exp in Red Hat virtualization, LVM, OVM, OS clustering, Troubleshooting
- Maintenance, Monitoring, Administration, and Management of Software and Hardware; All System Administration tasks w.r.t
- Linux Systems of all versions, Configuration management of
- Linux, Patch managements Hardening and secure hardening and fixing vulnerable observations, Driving the assigned project.
- Experience in implementing security, improvements by assessing current situation, any other work entrusted by the Bank from time to time.
- Knowledge in shell scripting and automations of IT jobs, DR switch over experiences, OS Cluster Configuration, Configuration hardening, Inventory management, License management, release management, DC and DR syncing, LDAP, NTP, SIEM, PIM integrations
