Baseline requirements
- Comfortable using Linux as a primary OS, especially Ubuntu.
- 3+ years administering and troubleshooting Linux systems, intermediate proficiency.
- Intermediate proficiency with Docker and Linux container internals.
- Intermediate proficiency with Python and bash scripting.
- Familiarity with using git and Github.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes control plane architecture and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable with Agile project management in JIRA.
- Beneficial additional experience:
- Recent CKA certification. CKAD and CKS certifications are a plus.
- Bare-metal Kubernetes management with Rancher and RKE.
- Cloud Kubernetes management (GKE, EKS and AKS).
- Datadog log and metrics collection; dashboarding.
- Deployment and management of Portworx.
- Deployment and management of MetalLB.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
- 1+ year of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing), or related field.
- 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a High school diploma or equivalent.
