About the Role
As a Technical Support Engineer at Google, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch technical assistance to customers and internal teams. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective solutions.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go or JavaScript, etc.) or in system design.
- 4 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers’ needs, and triaging technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process).
- 4 years of experience with 2 or more of the following: Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Systems Admin, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with unit testing, agile project development, and bug and change management systems.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and with workflow orchestration tools.
- Experience working with systems for collaborative code reviews, version control, continuous integration, and automated testing and support engineering.
- Experience with data governance and data quality best practices, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
