Job Role: DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps Engineer at SAP, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining the development and operations pipeline. Your contributions will help deliver high-quality software solutions faster and more efficiently to SAP’s global customer base.
What you will do
We are looking for development operations engineer or a developer with development operations experience who wants to go deeper into the area of BTP development operations and related software and tools.
As member of our SAP BTP Multi Channel delivery & DC Buildout team you will
- · support our stakeholders and third-party operators in operating their own BTP deployments in sovereign and private cloud environments (deployment, monitoring, telemetry, maintenance, incident handling).
- · support operations of SAP BTP platform and SAP BTP services in test environments of our sovereign and private cloud stakeholders.
- · verify completeness and identify gaps of SAP’s operations process for BTP sovereign and private clouds.
What you bring
- 3-7 years of professional experience in cloud-native development or development operations with cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, containers and various hyperscaler APIs.
- Expertise of BTP operations processes on major hyperscalers as AWS, Azure, GCP and related tools.
- Exposure to at least one major BTP software component (e.g., Foundation, Gardener, HANA Cloud, SAC, etc.) is an added advantage.
- Development skills in a scripting or programming language such as Python, Golang, Java etc.
- Excellent analytical skills with proven track of design and solution of challenging technical problems.
- Willingness to learn innovative technologies and adapt to team requirements.
- Willingness to work in German / US time zones (if required)
- Fluency both written and spoken in English.
