About the Role

As a Linux Administrator at Oracle, you’ll play a key role in managing and maintaining the company’s Linux infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Linux systems to ensure high performance and reliability. The role demands a deep understanding of Linux operating systems, system administration, scripting, and problem-solving skills.

Professional Expertise

•  Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Linux/ Solaris Server administration.
• In Depth Knowledge of Exadata, & ZDLRA Architecture, Administration, Patching, Performance Tuning and it’s troubleshooting methodologies.
• Project delivery for Oracle Engineered System Exadata, ZDLRA etc landscape including hardware landscape, 
• In Depth Knowledge of Exadata features, capacity planning Tuning and troubleshooting of any system components.
• Designs, creates and maintains databases in a client/server environment.
• Works on more complex, larger and higher importance/impact projects.
• Implement, enforce and adhere to Disaster Recovery plan for platforms 
• Ensure Engineering System Standards and Controls are maintained 
• Provide 3rd and 4th level Oracle Engineering Systems for complex issues.
• Participate on customer driven projects.
• Perform Implementation of Engineering Systems, Management & Support lifecycle management, monitoring, support, disaster recovery, compliance, and standards.
• Enable Customer to use the Engineering Systems Appliance to leverage its features.

Responsibilities

•            Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Linux/ Solaris Server administration

•            Experience in UNIX Environment – Solaris v10, v11.0 and Linux

•            Work experience at client location in 24*7 shift support

•            Expertise in installation, configuration and upgradation, patching, administration and storage implementation

•            Ability to articulate standard methodologies for during implementation

•            Experience in Oracle VM Manager LDOM Administration

•            Experience in Oracle Engineered system 

•            Experience in Oracle storage

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

•            Working knowledge of OS clustering, partitioning, virtualization and storage administration, integration with operating systems

•            Demonstrated expertise in UNIX – Solaris and Linux.

•            You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies

•            Individual contributor role able to manage his work independently.

•            Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work

•            Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management

•            Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

•            Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications

•            Working experience in OVM Migration projects

•            Working knowledge on Engineered system like Exadata.
